Privacy Policy

CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates the "Mind Map Pro" app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Our Approach

Mind Map Pro is an app for organizing ideas that lets you see and edit the same content both as a nested bulleted outline and as a mind map. Creating, editing, and saving maps all happen entirely on your device. The maps you create are yours. They are stored on your device, and we never view, collect, upload, or send them to our servers. There is no account to create. Specifically, we have no access to any of the following:

  • The content of your maps (item text, notes, links, checkboxes, tags, and settings such as colors and markers)
  • Photos you attach to items
  • Files you import or export, and backup files

Your map content leaves the device only through actions you take yourself: exporting, sharing, printing, backing up, and opening a link written in a map (Section 2).

2. How Maps, Photos, and Files Are Handled

  • Saving maps: Maps are saved automatically, each time you write, to the App's private storage on your device. While you edit, the App keeps a version history at regular intervals (up to 20 versions per map), and deleted maps stay in the trash for 30 days. All of this is stored only on your device.
  • Photos (Premium): When you attach a photo to an item, only the photo you pick in the Android photo picker is copied into the App, resized to a JPEG of up to 1280 pixels on the longest side. Photo metadata such as the location where it was taken is not copied. The App does not request photo or storage permissions.
  • Import and export: Files are opened and saved through the Android file picker, only for the files and locations you choose. Content received from another app's "Open" or "Share", and text pasted from the clipboard, is saved on your device as a new map.
  • Backups: "Back up now" puts all your maps and photos into a single file (.zip) and saves it to the location you choose (which can be Google Drive, for example). The Premium automatic backup saves to the folder you choose once a day and keeps the latest 7. If you pick a cloud service, the file is stored in your account under that service's terms. We have no access to its content.
  • When data leaves the device: Only when you export, share, print, or back up, or when you open a link written in a map (a web page, email, or phone number — only that link is passed to the browser or other app you use). In none of these cases do we receive anything.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information Collected Automatically

  • Anonymous crash reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics. When the App crashes, it collects the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version. These reports contain no personally identifiable information, map content, or photos.
  • Purchase information: To verify the one-time "Premium" purchase, we use the purchase token issued by Google Play. We never receive payment details such as credit card numbers.
  • List of our other apps: To introduce our other apps, the App downloads their names, descriptions, and icons from our content server (static files on Cloudflare Pages). This request contains no personal data from the App. As with any request to a web server, the server necessarily receives your device's IP address. Tapping an app in the list opens its page on Google Play.

The App does not use any usage-analytics tools and does not access the advertising ID (AAID).

3.2 Information Stored Only on Your Device

  • Maps and photos: Stored on your device as described in Section 2, and never leave it unless you export, share, print, or back them up.
  • Version history and trash: Used only to undo changes and to restore maps. Maps in the trash are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • App settings: Settings such as the theme, text size, defaults for new maps, and sort order are stored on your device.
  • Android backup: If backup is turned on in your device settings, Android may include your maps, photos, and app settings in the backup to your own Google account (version history and the trash are excluded). These may also be moved when you transfer data directly to a new device. This is done by Android, and we cannot access the content.
  • When you uninstall: Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes the maps, photos, version history, trash, and settings in the App's private storage. Files you exported and backup files remain where you saved them until you delete them.

3.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • The content of your maps, photos attached to items, or files you import or export
  • Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts (the App has no account registration)
  • Your location
  • Your browsing history or the content of your communications
  • What is on your screen or in other apps
  • The advertising ID (AAID)

3.4 Permissions the App Requests and Why

Mind Map Pro requests only the following OS permissions and uses them only for the stated purposes. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or storage.

  • Internet (INTERNET) — Used only for anonymous crash reports, verifying purchases on Google Play, in-app reviews and in-app updates, downloading the list of our other apps, and showing this Privacy Policy inside the App. Creating, editing, and saving maps do not need an internet connection.
  • Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — Used to check whether a connection is available before the communication above.
  • Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING) — Used to buy and restore the one-time Premium purchase.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect only to:

  • Operate and maintain the Service
  • Verify Premium purchases
  • Diagnose and fix crashes
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with applicable law

5. Third-Party Services

Mind Map Pro uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — anonymous crash diagnostics
  • Google Play Billing (Google LLC) — the one-time Premium purchase. Payment is completed on Google Play, and we receive only the purchase token
  • Google Play In-App Review / In-App Updates (Google LLC) — lets you rate or update the App without leaving it. Processed by Google Play
  • Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.) — delivery of the list of our other apps (static files)

We do not share or sell your data to advertising networks or data brokers.

6. Data Retention

  • Crash reports: kept for 90 days, then deleted.
  • Maps, photos, and settings on your device: kept until you delete them, uninstall the App, or clear its data. The version history keeps the latest 20 versions per map, and maps in the trash are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Automatic backup (Premium): the latest 7 are kept in the folder you choose.

7. International Data Transfers

We are based in Japan. The infrastructure used for crash diagnostics and for delivering the list of our other apps may be located in various countries. By using the Service, the minimal information described above may be processed outside your country of residence under standard contractual safeguards.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, California, or Japan), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited information we hold. You can:

  • Delete maps in the App at any time and remove them permanently from the trash, and delete the maps, photos, and settings on your device by uninstalling the App or clearing its data
  • Delete exported files and backup files from where you saved them at any time
  • Contact us at the address below with any request about information we hold

9. Children's Privacy

Mind Map Pro is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age that applies where you live). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from such a child, we will delete it promptly after being contacted.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always published at this URL with its effective date. We will also notify you in the App of significant changes where appropriate.
